A small delicate and yet quite powerful painting of a bed. The painting glows from the inside out, as the artist makes skillful use of the the encaustic medium which serves as the ground for this piece.

This is a diptych of three 24x12'' panels.

The narrative: a man in a peaceful surrender perhaps his last surrender
his dreams rotate and repeat beneath the bed. In the upper right of the piece you notice the long horned steer the strength of youth and in the last panel you see the lamb, the gentleness that wraps around us as we pass from one life to another.

Carrying You Home Again, Encaustic and Mixed Media on Pigmented Beeswax.  This painting is 6x6'' on recessed wooden panel.

It is built up in layers of cold wax, oil paint and encaustic.

There is embedded in the wax, a drawing a of a girl holding a doll-like figure of a man in her hand. She appears to be flying, the boat indicates a passage and they are headed to a house raised up  and safe from the elements.

One of a kind, Rose Quartz Oval Ring. This is very feminine, hand built ring in sterling silver and gold. The mixed metal one of a kind piece is hand patterned with unique hand forged tools. The Rose Quartz is full of light and rich hues, translucent and luscious.

This custom designed ring is tall and handsome. It has a beautiful sparkling eye unusual in a rose quartz cabochon, it is mysterious and lively and waiting for her perfect mate to take her home. This ring is designed and made by hand in March 2010 by Elizabeth Haughton.

My fascination with metaphor has lead me to mine the house as an object of deeper meaning. This is a favorite subject of many contemporary artists. In this print i have combined paintings from a ten year period. In this way I can reflect on the many ways in which we are in relationship to our selves.
